Staycation at Pullman Melbourne on the Park Hotel
Pullman Melbourne on the Park is one of the best hotel options in Melbourne, boasting a ton of features including amazing views of the Melbourne CBD cityscape, and the iconic MCG below (and other sporting arenas), as well as a short distance to the stunning Fitzroy Gardens and the CBD. We were invited for a weekend staycation at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, with Melbourne at its glorious sunny Spring best.
We have visited this hotel before but now, after a $40 million renovation, Pullman Melbourne on the Park is even more impressive with its stylish features and perfect facilities for business people and travellers of all kinds. The hotel has been awarded the 2022 Design Inn Award for Hotel of the Year (refurbishment).
We enjoyed a Deluxe Executive Room on the top floor with breathtaking views, as well as well-appointed luxury features such as high tech lighting and room activations, a large Smart TV, excellent coffee and tea facilities, chaise lounge area, Co Bigelow amenities, and a walk-in rain shower.
Our room swipe card also gave us access to the well-stocked and spectacular Executive Lounge just below our top floor room, on the 18th floor. This was a place to relax and enjoy the all-day refreshments, which are enhanced at 6pm where you can enjoy excellent canapes and quality wine and beverages. We sat by the window imbibing a glass of wine, as well as a selection of sushi, cold rolls, meatballs, meats, cheeses, dips and other wonderful delights. Looking around, the Executive Lounge is extremely popular, and you can also duck in to a meeting room for a great way to connect with clients or colleagues. Tune in to the large TV screens to watch the game, that is if you're not attending yourself at the MCG.
We visited the Executive Lounge twice for its all-day and evening offerings, but you can also visit for a delicious continental breakfast.
We had every intention of visiting the attractive hotel heated pool and the gym and sauna - but this is something for our next visit.
After visiting the Executive Lounge for canapes and a glass of wine we visited the historical The Cliveden Bar & Dining where the best of local Victorian produce is showcased. We imbibed the best of hospitality with a creative and well-executed menu; highlights being the Whole Baby Barramundi, the Cape Grim 300g beef sirloin and the stunning desserts of The Pullman Magnum and the Spring Pavlova. Service was exceptional.

At night the views were spectacular from our Executive Room, and after a wonderful sleep on a quality King bed with excellent pillows, we were back at The Cliveden to experience their new buffet breakfast offering, which was a showcasing of local favourite producers such as Meredith Dairy, Green Eggs, La Madre Bakery and Andrew's Choice Sausage. Judging by the turnout The Cliveden buffet breakfast is one of the best and most popular hotel buffet breakfasts in Melbourne.

After our first class breakfast we couldn't resist a stroll in the Fitzroy Gardens, including taking in the Spring flowers, water features, the Conservatory and even making our way to iconic Bourke St. We were highly impressed with every aspect of Pullman Melbourne on the Park Hotel and it exceeded our expectations. This is a hotel that is well-appointed and loaded with features, in a great location, and while professional, comes with a relaxed feel. It is an oasis in the heart of Melbourne. Highly reccomended for your next stay.
