Theic By Chamellia Stylish Tea House

Theic is a stylish tea house that allures with its exotic teas and tasty house treats. Theic is a pop up tea destination that is part of Insitu's furniture showroom in Collingwood - combining sexy furniture with sexy teas.

Insitu are a house of style themselves over the last 14 years in the furniture world. It's the perfect partnership. Loving the exposed brick, the bespoke furniture of Insitu (no two pieces the same) and the use of timber here...

Hey, no coffee at Theic! I love coffee but that's cool. I'm a guy that drinks loads of both tea and coffee. That Melbourne can engage tea only venues is a welcome trend. Collingwood is developing as a tea haven for specialty tea.

The name Theic is a reference to tea drunkards - an interesting concept in itself.

Somage Fine Foods are behind the teas. With about 24 varieties including from Korea, China, Japan, Sri Lanka and Nepal - Theic has it covered. And the treats are organic with gluten free options.

Theic advertise that this tea destination is for ardent tea lovers and tea is served at correct temperatures and length of brew. I've always been taught that one should never brew tea at boiling point - wait till it cools somewhat as leaves are fragile.

Spring water is used in the meticulous brewing process. No stone is left unturned for tea perfection.

Check out this pop up open for the next few months.
