Brewers' Share by Teeling Whiskey and BentSpoke
Brewer's Share beer was recently launched at Boilermaker House in Melbourne and we were invited along to experience this fine drop. Brewer's Share Beer is a collaboration between Australian beer legends BentSpoke Brewing from Canberra and Teeling Whiskey of Ireland. We enjoyed this magnificent brew paired to the awesome small batch big flavoured Teeling Whiskey.
At the Boilermaker House launch in Melbourne, we sampled the beer plus the straight Teeling Whiskey, as well as some platter snacks, and heard speeches about the brew from representatives.
Brewers’ Share is a premium beer combining the richness and flavours of an Irish Style Dry Stout amplified by time maturing in mid-life Irish whiskey barrels and complimented by the addition of smooth Teeling Small Batch Whiskey and infused with coffee beans. Brewers’ Share has not only whiskey added to the finished product, it has reclaimed whiskey whilst in the barrel.
When Whiskey is aged in a barrel it “loses” liquid to evaporation and absorption in the barrel, Distillers call this the “Angel Share” but for this special brew BentSpoke reclaimed the Brewers’ Share.
At 7% ABV this Australian first brew brings the best of both brewing and distilling worlds and the perfect drink to celebrate a truly unique flavour to share with friends just in time for St Patricks Day.
