Inspired by the Renault Captur and Signature Fragrance at Mon Bijou

We’re huge fans of Renault at The World Loves Melbourne and last Saturday we were delighted to have been invited to their #InspiredbyCaptur perfume event at celebrated penthouse space, Mon Bijou.

The morning began with our lovely chauffeur, Callum picking us up in a Captur and taking us straight to Mon Bijou.

 

The Renault Captur launched in Australia in February this year, and it is an exciting addition to the strong product offering. Starting from $22,990, the Captur features an exceptionally high level of standard equipment, including best-in-class turbo engines, and an extensive personalisation programme.

We were greeted at Mon Bijou with a glass of Champagne and spectacular views of the city, before being introduced to Master Perfumer Emma J Leah from Fleurage, a private scent design studio in Williamstown.

Emma spent the morning guiding us through the art of French perfumery, particularly the significance of Base, a Heart and Top Notes. Each guest filled out a questionnaire identifying our favourite colours, seasons and foods before translating the information to a fragrance wheel.

We then made our way through the individual scents, selecting our favourites and working out which would complement one another before shortlisting four Base Notes, seven Heart Notes and two Top Notes.

Emma then took each of our choices and worked out how many individual drops should go into our personalised bottles. Meanwhile, we were treated to more Champagne and a selection of brunch inspired canapés including a beautiful macaron topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese – irresistible!

We then took our empty perfume bottles and began dropping in exact amounts of our desired scents, before finally getting the chance to smell our #InspiredbyRenault Fleurage creations. Each perfume was entirely different and resembled the Captur’s exceptional personalisation programme.
