Lavazza Partners With Silvia Colloca & Adam D'Sylva for the 2015 Melbourne Cup Carnival
To celebrate their 120 year anniversary, as part of the 2015 Melbourne Cup Carnival, Lavazza has partnered with Silvia Colloca - the much loved author, chef and host of SBS program ‘Made in Italy with Silvia Colloca’. The World Loves Melbourne enjoyed the hospitality og the Lavazza Birdcage Marquee on Melbourne Cup Day.
Drawing from her Italian heritage, Silvia Colloca will create mouth watering desserts for marquee guests including almond crust mini tarts with Lavazza coffee and dark chocolate ganache, and mini cannoli filled with marsala spiked ricotta, mascarpone and blueberries. Adam D’Sylva whose passion for food came from his Italian Mother and Nonna, has designed the savoury menu including the family recipe “Nonna’s Gnocchi”.
Back by popular demand, Lavazza will have a ‘coffee window’ built into the side of the marquee with two baristas from D.O.C serving Lavazza coffee to guests all day long, whilst general admission race goers can enjoy complimentary Lavazza espresso’s during ‘Lavazza Espresso Hour’, being held at coffee bars throughout the track between 10.30am – 11.30am daily.
We imbibed the fine food and music with Lavazza known for being a great party marquee.
