A solid lunch performer for the CBD worker, it can be hard to get a table at lunch time!  Come here for fresh sushi, sashimi and bento selections. In fact this place offers plenty of decent menu options, for those who want an express lunch or a longer option. It’s reliable but not without flair. They know how to prepare fine Japanese cuisine!

For a quick lunch UME Sushi House offers several selections in bain maries. For a reasonable price you can pick your fare with rice or noodles. I found the meals to be delicious and fresh and the bowls are large. Clean flavours with that element of crisp freshness, never soggy or tired.

Quite a large restaurant and spacious. UME Sushi House is in a part of town that offers great Asian cuisine. But it holds it’s own in a competitive precinct. This is a well run restaurant that knows its clientele.

Love the red lanterns along the entrance!

Also pleasant to sit outside on the pavement tables along Little Bourke. A popular place to enjoy lunch. Staff are friendly and the décor is simple but pleasant.
