The Bottom End is a venue with great burgers and a great vibe. This place hums on a Friday night. It's like a nightclub atmosphere with rock and roll tunes pulsating through the speakers in the dimly lit room (in fact two large rooms). Figurines and quirky pieces are displayed through the room.

I visited with a friend to grab a burger before an AFL blockbuster at Etihad. And so it was with great anticipation that we ordered a burger and chips and a beer.

Grab yourself a booth or a table. There is a kind of vintage theme here.

The burgers are up among Melbourne's best. These are serious burgers. The only thing is that they could be a little larger. The burgers were a reasonable $10 then the chips were $8 and then the beer.

The pick of the burgers is the Mitsubishi which has Japanese flavours of katsu chicken patty, deaweed salad and wasabi. So delicious.

The Bottom End also serves some creative cocktails.

For ambience The Bottom End is full of character.
