Sassafras sensation! How good is this town in the Dandenongs? In fact the drive to get here is great – you might even tolerate being behind a slow driver such is the beauty of the region.

We love Ripe… Great undercover balcony out the back is endearing… Kid friendly… They even have toys there for the kids to amuse themselves with – and the odd adult if you fancy.

Amazing baguettes… Simple but effective menu. I think I’ve worked my way through most of the baguettes. The Gypsy Ham and relish and cheese baguette is a sensation. As is the smoked salmon, Japanese mayo and capers baguette. Also partial to the Cranberry chilli plum relish, smoked chicken and brie… In fact they’re all good!
