Pho Bo Ga Mekong Vietnam is an excellent value desination for Vietnamese cuisine on Swanston Street. In a highly competitive precinct this restaurant shines with an extensive menu and quality to back it up.

Come here most lunch times and the place is full. The restaurant is surprisingly large and it seems many here in the city are aware of the secret of Pho Bo Ga Mekong Vietnam.

As a seasoned consumer of Vietnamese cuisine I went straight for the Pho. This place has a great reputation for fine Pho.

I didn't have to wait long for the Pho to arrive. Normally I order the beef Pho but upon recommendation I ordered the Chargrilled chicken Pho. The recommendation was that this chicken pho had a stronger flavour than even the beef, due to the chargrilled process.

I was not disappointed. Large pieces of well cooked chicken with an intense char grilled taste was superb.

The side plate with the crispy fresh bean shoots, chilli and green vegeatables was also sublime.

You might be able to grab a booth here, or like many others get to know some strangers at a communal table.

I found the service to be pleasant and best of all the meal arrived quickly.

Decor is excellent and has some personality and colour.

Looking forward to returning again to Pho Bo Ga Mekong Vietnam.
