Little Bean Blue come blow your horn! This café was announced to the world in a recent review by a bevy of coffee panelists. It is rated as one of the finest coffee establishments in Melbourne. Come here for a great coffee and a welcoming experience where the coffee is the focus.

Little Bean Blue is a shining light in a coffee heartland. It has acclaimed neighbours at Mamma’s Boy and the whole strip of cafes is pretty decent.  It comes with the influence of Cafenatics – whom I highly regard.

In visiting for breakfast there is a simple menu of croissants and cakes. I’m always keen on an almond croissant. It was amazing that the staff told me I was welcome to grab food from another café and bring it over. Such flexibility!

A La Marzocco is the machine of the moment (come blow your coffee horn!). Take that along with some of the best blends in town from other roasters (and yes they also roast their own) and pour over some friendly TLC, and you have a winning combination. They also provide a pour over bench for filter coffee and a cold drip.

I enjoyed both a latte and a long machiatto to go with the croissant. The coffee here is excellent. A table of 4 of us from the office all enjoyed the brews on offer.

Little Bean Blue has a great ambience with outside tables with blue stools to enjoy the Little Collins scene. Also dig the funky lighting and concrete floor, as well as blue design piece along the wall. Blackboards with interesting diagrams about coffee add to the intrigue. Great place to chill, relax and imbibe all things coffee...
