Hao Phong is one of the best pho restaurants in Footscray and Melbourne. Every day there is a packed house and the locals love it. Footscray has a wonderful pho precinct and Hao Phong leads the way. This restaurant has a pleasant ambience with red walls and bamboo hanging decorations. On arrival you are served free green tea. Popular is the pho, spring rolls and Pork with broken rice.

I've enjoyed delicious pho at Hao Phong but also this Broken Rice (above). Hao Phong delivered with a great rendition of this Vietnamese classic. Perfectly cooked broken rice and superb pork chop and egg. All with a tangy sauce. The garnish was also excellent with spring onion, carrot, cucumber and seasoning with a kick. It proves again that Vietnamese food has so many dimensions and is not just about pho.

Hao Phong is reasonable priced and a popular destination for Footscray workers. The quick service is much appreciated for those with a limited lunch break. Highly recommended.
