Great Japanese value cuisine started in Brisbane several hears ago and now spread to several outlets across Australia. Hanaichi aims to introduce Australians to more than just sushi as fine Japanese cuisine.

The décor is modern and the menu choices simple. The wait time for meals is minimal. Hanaichi offers value, healthy, great Japanese cuisine in express time. This suits me and many other office workers! They provide pleasant tables and chairs and even stools by the window for diners.

I grabbed myself some of the Kay’s Chicken, a popular dish and for me one of the best value dishes on the Melbourne lunchtime scene. The large portion was only $8.40 and for that you received a large bowl with quality Japanese rice on the bottom. On top were large pieces of fried (not over greasy) chicken cooked perfectly in amazing batter. The mayo and spring onions was also amazing on top, along with tomato and lettuce. It was a massive meal and full of freshness, quality and taste! A winner!

The service was fast and efficient and definitely caters for the lunch time business and student crowd. A positive experience!
