Huge and iconic café in Carlton! I’ve always thought Brunetti drips class in everything they do! From food to service to décor and ambience! They are a Melbourne institution, an icon. A taste of Italy in Melbourne! Brunetti is more consistent than nearly any other brand I know.
The Carlton Brunetti is simply huge with large departments… I almost got lost in there as I checked out the sections. It’s quite a contrast to some of the tiny cafes in the CBD. The websites says, “Brunetti Cakes began trading at the Faraday street location in 1985. The Angelé family acquired the business in 1991 and transformed the lovely café that it was into a truly authentic roman Pasticceria.”
Brunetti has been able to expand – even overseas. A great Melbourne story!
Brunetti consistently offers great coffee! Right now I’m loving strong Italian influenced coffee. The cakes are amazing - whether it’s a slice of cake or buying a whole cake to share.Almond cakes and chessecakes and fruit tarts, the list goes on and on… Or go for biscotti or panini and foccacia (which I love) or gelati or pizza.
Popular! This place gets packed out! I sometimes come here just for the ambience! I love the super modern chic café style! And it’s great to sit at a table outside on Faraday and watch Carlton punters go by.
Also love the Brunetti City Square – great place to meet with friends! Sit back around the large tables and enjoy the bustle and ambience of the Square!
Love how they have a Brunetti in Dubai – recommended to my friends there and they love it…
As well as other Brunetti’s the introduction of Brunetti in Myer in Bourke St has been extremely popular. Brunettiis consistently good no matter which Brunetti you visit! Also great chocolates, savoury and gelati! Love it!
