Flavour Exchange is a seasonally ran event that showcases the best beer, wine, food and produce from all around the state. It’s a chance to taste some of the best bites and brews in Victoria, without even having to leave the CBD.

Flavour Exchange spring showcase, bringing the best of Victoria’s food, wine, beer and cider producers to Federation Square in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD on Thursday, 3 and Friday, 4 September from 4.30pm to 8.30pm each evening.

A highlight is the launch of Lumo Energy’s Regional Showcase; shining a spotlight on the Yarra Valley and supporting smaller producers that may not have had the opportunity to take part.

Tim Harrington, Executive General Manager of Marketing and Sales at Lumo Energy said: “We are champions of small business and understand what it’s like to be a challenger. For this reason we wanted to help showcase our state’s food and drink from boutique producers in the city for all to enjoy, starting with the Yarra Valley – home to some of the finest wine, beer, cider and hand-crafted food in Australia, not just Victoria.”

Producers featuring in the Yarra Valley showcase this September include; new release boutique wines from Medhurst, Oakridge, Tokar Estate and Rob Dolan, as well as the finest seasonal condiments and preserves from Coldstream’s Cunliffe and Waters, handmade pasta from Yarra Valley Pasta and fresh, Brussels sprouts from Adams Farms.

Caroline Ryan, Founder and Director at integrated marketing studio Dig+Fish, who own and operate the quarterly event, said: “This is now the eighth seasonal Flavour Exchange. We are delighted to be able to support direct market access for our exhibitors and contribute to the growth of their businesses and championing Victoria’s vibrant, world-class food and drinks industries.” “It’s fantastic to have the support of Lumo Energy, who as well as sponsoring the Regional Showcase to allow more producers to take part, is also creating the Lumo Lounge – a break-out space for visitors to relax, chill out and catch up with friends.” Flavour Exchange is a celebration of the finest range of food and drink Victoria has to offer. As well as sampling a host of flavours at Federation Square, visitors can buy seasonal dishes and drinks direct from the producers – putting the profits back in the pockets of Victorian farmers and makers.

Other newcomers to Spring Flavour Exchange include Cuvée Chocolate, Sam Miranda King Valley premium wines, Bromley Wines from Geelong and Sticky Balsamic dressings, who will be exhibiting alongside Flavour Exchange favourites such as regional wineries Scotchman’s Hill, Wimmera Hills, Sally’s Paddock and Ros Ritchie Wines and food delights from Peninsula Fudge, Those Guys’ Food and Saffron Store.
